If you or someone you care about lives alone, or are housebound due to illness or disability, contact St John about Caring Caller to pair you up with a volunteer whose personality and interests match yours. Caring Caller is free of charge.

Age Concern Accredited Visitor Service

If you are feeling lonely, or would just like more social contact, Age Concern can help. Its Accredited Visiting Service provides regular visits to older people – volunteers spend about an hour each week enjoying conversation and shared interests and activities with the older people they are matched with.

Student Volunteer Army

If you need help call the SVA helpline during office hours, 0800 005 902, for support and practical help including food deliveries for those 70+. Register below to seek help or sign up as a volunteer!

Alzheimers New Zealand

Get the latest COVID-19 information if you or someone in your household has dementia.

Countdown Priority Assistance

Get priority for your online deliveries if you are over 70, have a chronic condition or disability, or are in self-isolation.

Continence NZ Helpline
